Dalia Alejandra is a Cuban artist based in the Greater Toronto Area, working primarily in graphite.
Her practice is centred on horses, with a focus on structure, expression, and the small details that make each subject distinct. Beyond equine subjects, her work extends to portraiture, facial expression, food, observational studies, and selected scientific, educational, and creative projects.

A portrait begins with observation: the structure of the head, the movement of the mane, the character held in an expression, and the quiet details that make one horse different from every other.
Each work is drawn by hand in graphite and developed from one or more carefully selected reference photographs.
